What kind of projects do you fund?
We fund a wide variety of projects in the arts, sciences, and education. Click the “Past Projects” button below to see some examples of past projects we’ve funded.
What is your time line for proposals?
Our application portal is open from September 1 through March 1 (closing at midnight) annually. Applicants will be notified by April 15 whether or not their proposal has advanced to the full board meeting in May. Final funding decisions are announced in late May, with checks mailed to selected organizations in June.
I completed the eligibility form but didn’t receive an email with further instructions. What should I do?
First, please check your spam or junk folder, as automated emails are sometimes filtered there. If you still do not see it, please fill in the eligibility form and begin again.
How long do I have to complete the application?
Once you have completed the eligibility form, you will have two weeks to submit your full application. If the application is not finished within this 14-day window, you will need to restart the process from the beginning by submitting another eligibility form.
When does my project need to take place in order to be eligible for funding?
Ideally, your project should begin no earlier than June and conclude by the following June. This window aligns best with our funding disbursement and reporting schedule.
Do you accept international proposals?
Yes, but we require that all applicants are recognized as a nonprofit with IRS 501(c)3 status.
Can I apply under the umbrella or fiscal sponsorship under another 501(c)3 organization?
Yes, we accept applications from fiscally sponsored projects or those applying under an umbrella organization. If you are not an independent 501(c)3, please ensure your fiscal sponsor's information is used to complete your application.
